Here are some video trailers which I think relate to our film in some way. We have taken ideas from the following films to help us create ours, not all of the following films fit into the same genre as ours but they have been great help in our journey on creating our own film.
Here is '16 Wishes' this film like ours is about wishing things to happen but instead of a penny it has candles. This disney film is a lower rating than ours but the story behind it is similar - be careful what you wish for because it might not always be what you expect! This film is a PG and more of a girly film then ours will be! We can take ideas for our opening title sequence as watching her make the wishes would fit in well with out film.
Three Wishes is a film made in 1995, it was one of the first types of this style film as drama films weren't overly popular. This film is about the effect a single person has on a whole family, the magic is not imminently shown but over time it appears more frequently in the film. This film is like ours in the sense it includes a strong sense of family.
Just My Luck is about the two extremes of being lucky and being unlucky. When the lucky one meets the unlucky one unknowingly they kiss each other and swap roles. She then becomes very unlucky and while she was rather selfish when she had luck, he is selfless and helps her. In the end they both pass the luck onto a little girl who is unlucky. This is simliar to our film in the sense that the luck is passed down from one person to another, in out film the lucky penny is passed down from a grandma to her grandchild.
Looking at different films has given us ideas and inspiration to create our film, all of these films have been helpful to us in their own way. While none of them directly link to ours they each individually have some aspect which is similar to one we want to include in our film.
